José Capêlo, nascido em 1969, na cidade de Santarém, cedo veio viver para os Açores, com apenas 6 anos, radicou-se na Ilha Terceira, onde passou a sua infância e adolescência, atualmente reside na Ilha do Faial . Autodidata amador, optou pela arte de fotografar as belíssimas paisagens Açorianas. Já participou em várias exposições, tendo a sua última mostra durante as festividades da Semana do Mar 2015, na cidade da Horta.
José Capêlo, born in 1969 in the city of Santarem, soon came to live in the Azores, with only six years, he settled in Terceira Island, where he spent his childhood and adolescence, currently lives in Faial Island. Self-taught amateur, opted for the art of photographing the beautiful landscapes of the Azores. He has participated in several exhibitions, with their last show during the festivities of the 2015 Sea Week in the city of Horta.
