Sara Leal cresceu nos Açores, entre o mar, o verde bucólico e os artistas e gentes que frequentavam a casa dos pais. Apaixonada pela escrita e criatividade licenciou-se em Publicidade e Marketing, mas é no cinema que encontra o seu caminho... e assim rumou a Nova Iorque, onde estudou e deu os primeiros passos na sétima arte, a sua curta "Runaway" entrou na selecção oficial do Festival New Filmmakers NY. "A Fajã" é o seu último trabalho.
Sara Leal grew up in the Azores, by the sea, the green prairies and the artists and people that frequented her parent’s place. Her passion for writing and creativity lead her to majoring in Advertising and Marketing, but she finds her way to be Cinema... And so she moved to New York, where she studied Filmmaking and took the first steps in the industry. Her short film "Runaway" premiered in the official selection of the New Filmmakers NY Film Festival. "A Fajã" is her last work.
